Makhani Handi
Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup cream
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup ghee
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 inches ginger, minced
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 tablespoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Heat the ghee in a handi over medium heat and add the onion. Cook until golden brown.
- Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the tomato and cook until softened.
- Add all the spices and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the chicken and stir to coat.
- Add the cream and heavy cream.
- Cover the handi and cook on low heat for 30 minutes.
- Serve makhani handi with rice or roti.
